anyways, here i am. 2nd week into my clinical posting at Puteri Specialist Hospital. i just cant stop comparing them to Damansara Specialist Hospital. i had to be honest in my Reflective Diary. so i just wrote.
i didnt like the fact that they're so unorganized.
i didnt like the fact that the whole ward goes around, in a square.
i didnt like the fact that everything is so different, and I miss DSH. Alot.
but then, it takes time to get used i guess. but now i'm fine with the hospital and the ward environment. ppl here arent any less nicer actually. they're pretty cool. :) only difference is that this is JB not damansara.
lesser fussy patients though. i like that. who doesnt? :P tho i heard VIP is like, super cheap o.O back in DSH premier wards would be at least rm850.00 per night for the cheapest room. i heard here was like, rm3xx lol. ntah la. pelik tul. and not to mention the fact that i've mistaken for a malay like, SO many times. haha! i do like that though.
missing home is a thing. its rm31.30 for the bus ticket back from Larkin bus terminal which is like, 10mins walk from the hostel to TBS near BTS station. and rm33.50 from Shah Alam bus terminal to Larkin bus terminal. its alright i guess. not bad. considering Transnasional seats are quite awesome - so far la, through my experience.
i went back home last weekend and on the way back here, i took a 8.30pm bus, and i got back to the hostel at 2am. nice huh? the bus driver practically took his own sweet time stopping at stops -.- seriously. i know not everyone has a curfew. or a morning shift. gee. :P
and i've just gotten a case study subject :D i'm so glad. it was by luck, i guess. and thanks to naziroh. we went around looking for case study on Monday. both of us gotten, her case AEEBA aka Asthma while mine was chest pain i think for angina. but my patient was supposed to be angiogram but he refused. and it was weird that he has chest pain again since he alrdy had a CABG in 1992. but then Sister said i cant take this case. there's nothing to it.
so i went searching for a new case then suddenly staff nurse at Medical Ward 4th floor said "eh tadi ada case angiogram nak buat hari ni. tp x masuk sini, sebab x de tempat. u cari kat floor lain. mungkin tingkat 3 ke 5." so there we went rushing down to Surgical ward on the 3rd floor, i was almost giving up cause i thought patient wasnt on the surgical ward then Naziroh was like, "eh ashley tanya la!" so i asked the staff nurse at the counter and she said yes, they're about to leave. i rushed to the patient's room and there the patient was, on the wheelchair, with the staff nurse.
so i sent the patient to A&E, followed the patient to Johor Specialist Hospital, and got to see the whole procedure. thanks to Dr. Yap hee :D
i guess thats all for now. pls pls wish me luck for this case presentation. dh la my pointer surely will drop thanks to chn n maybe cvs [i hope NOT] but this is part of my plan to maintain my CGPA. so.. *lies face flat on my wooden table at home*
