1st day of Special Semester 1

well, here i am. back from class for the first day of special sem 1 [short: ssm1]

Mdm Anita came in looking super happy BUT requested to see me and a few other students. I saw it coming. So I went to talk to her during lunch, and she was really nice. She told me that she'll help me look through my marks and see how to improve, she'll talk to me more and see if she needs to send me to the discipline committee (which she is supposed to) and then she said the whole explanation letter thing would affect my future sponsorship interview but she'll help me la.

Praying hard everything would turn out just fine, like they always do.

then, after class was done [we had Microbiology - the study of microorganisms] Pn. Mas came in and wanted us to pick 4 persons for debating. 4 teams, each from different courses, and she chooses Group 41 to represent Nursing. We were like :X

Then, she said she'll count to 10 and if no one volunteers, she'll pick. After 10, no one stood up, so she asked the whole audi to select ur students. First they called Fatin Najwa [some were looking at my direction, i buat bodo] then, they called Kat [i went lower on my seat], then they called Hafiz [i was like pls no pls no pls no]. Thinking that picking me chances were small, I breathed a sigh of relief, and the whole audi was silent, Pn. Mas asked Fatin & Kat to pick 1 more.

Fatin & Kat : "Ashley."

Me : "Oh great."

Pn Mas : "Male or female"

Me : "Here." *hand raised, stood up*

Then she asked us to go down to brief us about the debate and thanked us.

I went down going "Why me why me.."

Then when we reached there, she asked who amongst us is the most aggressive. I was like, "Fatin" then she was like, "No." Then Pn. Mas was like, "Who likes to argue?" then all 3 of them were like "Nah.. not me." And then I was thinking inside, "Hm I do like to argue." then Fatin & Kat were like "Ashley."

SO MEAN RIGHT?

Pn. Mas : "So you should be 3rd speaker."

So here I am. 3rd speaker. 3rd speaker basically, has a very important role. I have to be super alert, or we're dead. I have no speeches, but I have to talk spontaneously. And I have to jot down everything the opponent says, using their points, and using speaker 1 and 2's points to back up and argue.

I wonder how I'm going through, because honestly, unless I'm in the mood, I can't argue to save my life. Oh well. The competition is in March, and Speaker 1 and 2 has to submit their speeches by 14th January. So we have some time to prepare. :D *fingers crossed*

Other than moving back to Sri Alam on the 11th, and celebrating housewarming & my bday on 18th December, there's ntg else much to say.

Except of course, I've been missing Smiggins like crazy. I was looking at him the other day and I just forgot how cute he looked, how adorable. I didnt even hug him enough when he sent me back to Nilai last night. :'(
